The goal of computer vision is to make computers see the world around them. It has made incredible progress in the past decade. With the explosion of images and video on the web, dealing with the large amount of unorganized visual data available has become immensely challenging. Large search engines are being created to make sense out of this data. The Internet has become an increasingly important tool for computer vision research.
The Sixth International Symposium on Computer Vision and the Internet (VisionNet’19) aims to bring together leading researchers to take stock of the state of the art, identify key challenges, and propose new directions. VisionNet’19 is co-affiliated with the Third International Conference on Computing and Network Communications (CoCoNet'19), December 18-21, 2019, Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
All accepted papers will be published by Elsevier as a special issue in the open-access Procedia Computer Science journal (ISSN: 1877-0509). Procedia Computer Science (H-Index: 47) is hosted on Elsevier Content platform ScienceDirect and will be freely available worldwide. The Procedia CS is indexed by Scopus and Conference Proceeding Citation Index.
The symposium will be held at Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), Trivandrum, India during December 18-21, 2019. Kerala renowned as the “Gods own Country”, situated in the southwestern tip of India, bestowed with unique geographical features that have made it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in India.
