CoCoNet'19 Doctoral Consortium

The CoCoNet Doctoral Consortium aims to provide an opportunity for the Ph.D. students to present their research plans and thesis and high-quality intellectual interactions with like-minded researchers. This event will happen in conjunction with the Third International Conference on Computing and Network Communications (CoCoNet'19), Trivandrum, Kerala, India. The conference is organized by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), Trivandrum in association with ACM Trivandrum Professional Chapter.

Call for Papers

Ph.D. students are invited to make a submission to the Doctoral Consortium. The specific topic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Submission

The paper must be formatted in single column Procedia CS style. The length of the paper must be between 3 and 10 pages. The paper must be submitted as a single PDF-file, with all fonts included. All submitted materials must be in English. The submission should not contain any proprietary or confidential material and should not cite proprietary or confidential publications. Authors MUST use Procedia CS template for submitting their papers while strictly following the guidelines provided at http://www.elsevier.com/journals/procedia-computer-science/1877-0509/guide-for-authors .

Submissions should be made via EDAS conference management system. Submissions that do not comply with the instructions will not be considered. By submitting a paper, the doctoral student implicitly agrees that in case of acceptance he/she will register to the conference and present the paper.

Your submission should clearly state:

  • Motivation, problem description
  • State of the art
  • Novelty and significance relative to the state of the art
  • Approach and proposed experiments (where appropriate)
  • Results obtained and work in progress
  • Keywords and key references of the presented work.

All submissions will undergo a thorough reviewing process with a view to providing detailed and constructive feedback. The program committee will select the best submissions for presentation at the Doctoral Consortium and publication in the proceedings. Notification of acceptance/rejection of submitted articles will be sent to the authors by e-mail. The authors of the accepted papers will be allowed to make corrections in accordance with the suggestions of the reviewers and submit final camera-ready papers within the stipulated deadline.

(All authors will be given one more opportunity to revise their papers based on the suggestions received during their presentation at the conference)

Publication

All accepted papers will be published by Elsevier in the open-access Procedia Computer Science journal (ISSN: 1877-0509). Procedia Computer Science (H-Index: 47) is hosted on Elsevier Content platform ScienceDirect and will be freely available worldwide. The Procedia CS is indexed by Scopus and Conference Proceeding Citation Index.

Who can Submit

The Consortium is open to all Ph.D. students and recent Ph.D. graduates.

Program

Each author will be allocated 20-30 minutes for their presentation and discussion. The last part of the session will be a roundtable with the participation of CoCoNet'19 speakers and members of the Committee.
